If you start out by promising what you don’t even have yet, you’ll lose your desire to work toward getting it.

This is true. On the recent job hunt, it has occurred to me that this is very true.

    Well, hard to say… You do slightly lose some of the drive b/c you sort of mentally jump over it, but we sort of have to, right? Otherwise it creates down time…

    Bill Gates sold something he didn’t have yet as his first product, and that worked out…
